The Hydra is our disc brake specific wheel set designed for road, gravel and cyclocross bikes.

Modern in every element of its design, the Hydra is the newest wheel set in our H Plus Son lineup.

Adapting the best aspects of our popular Archetype wheelset with the addition of several key design tweaks to create tubeless ready, disc specific wheels with an interchangeable axle system, compatible with all disc brake bikes. The 25mm wide rim platform is perfect for running 25mm, 28mm up to 35mm tyres.

UPGRADED NOW WITH BLADED SPOKES -

Bladed spokes are lighter, stronger and most importantly allow for better compliance. Plus they are a little more aero too!!

The Hub

This wheelset is built with our new hub set simply called ‘The Hub’. Lightweight, fast rolling and simple design compliment the appearance of the rims, but more importantly gives you a quality hub that matches the performance or the rims, giving you a truly bespoke wheelset. The Hub’s funky straight pull design suits modern disc road, gravel and cyclocross bikes and there are options to suit quick release and Thru-Axle frames.  This hub is made for us by Craftworx in Brisbane.
